MISSOULA — Now going on week 10 of suspended operation, Orangetheory in Missoula is one of the facilities set to open on Monday, per Gov. Steve Bullock’s directive as Montana enters Phase 2 on June 1.

Management says they’re anxiously waiting to resume operation, and they’re going above and beyond to ensure they keep their members safe. Staff will be wearing PPE and members will have to line up outside before they can even enter the building to have their temperature checked.

They’re even changing out HVAC filters and removing touch points in the studio. Co-owner Alex Burreson says with all of the uncertainty right now, one thing they can do is control their member experience.

“When you come in here, the person to the right and to the left or the station to right or the left will be empty, there won't be people next to you, there will be open stations," Burreson said. "Because we're coach-led in everything, we tell you what to do, when to do it, why to do it, we can tell the members when to come into the studio, when to switch, we can have them be switching in unison, and so it's much more of a controlled environment. Also we have the benefit of being a little bit smaller so at the end of every class we disinfect everything in the studio.”

Orangetheory is located at 3624 Brooks Street in Missoula.
