MISSOULA — Skiers were evacuated from a Montana Snowbowl chairlift near Missoula on Wednesday after an empty chair separated from the cable.
Owner Brad Morris tells MTN News that an empty chair separated from the main cable, after it unloaded two skiers.
The empty chair tore away the cable.
Morris didn’t know how many people were evacuated and also didn’t know how long the chairlift would be down.
He did say no one was injured.
Morris says Snowbowl will be open Thursday and that the new expansion area would be open in a “few days.”
