MISSOULA — A national tech company was forced to furlough a little over half of their current Missoula office employees partially due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
ClassPass is a subscription-based company that allows users to take fitness classes from local gyms and studios.
The company says that their revenue has decreased more than 95% due to the virus and reducing their headcount was the only way they could stay operational.
In Missoula 80 employees will keep their jobs while 90 have been furloughed but the company says Missoula is still an important location to the company as it is “our biggest office and also home to our CEO.
ClassPass hopes that no additional layoffs will be needed and stated that before the pandemic started they were hoping to add another 100 employees to their workforce.
