A 30-year-old man missing since Saturday evening has been found in Mineral County.
The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office and Missoula County Search and Rescue assisted the Mineral County Sheriff’s Office in the search for the missing man. He was found alive this afternoon in the Saltese area, according to a post on the Missoula County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.
Five members of search and rescue and a sheriff’s deputy deployed this morning to the search area. ATVs, ground crews, and drones were all utilized during the search.
After missing for over 36 hours, the search and rescue crews were able to locate the missing individual by voice. Searchers and family members were able get to his exact location shortly after voice contact was made. Numerous searchers, friends, and family members helped carry this person out to an awaiting ambulance. He was transported to a local hospital for further examination.
No other details, including the man's name and residence, were released.
There remains another unrelated active search and rescue in that same vicinity where searchers are looking for 74-year-old Michael S. Frazier, who has been missing from his residencein Spokane, Washington since April 29.
