MISSOULA — If your current drive to work requires driving over the Maclay Bridge, then you might want to start looking for a new route.
The span in southwest Missoula will be closed for repairs on Monday, Oct. 7 beginning at 8 a.m. According to Missoula County Public Works, the bridge will stay closed for the majority of the next two weeks.
The bridge closure might be an inconvenience to some drivers, but once the repairs are done, the Maclay Bridge won’t have nearly as many potholes.
After its initial closure, the Maclay Bridge will open up again for the Oct. 11 weekend starting Friday at 5 p.m.. The bridge will close again Oct. 15 at 8 a.m., but if the repairs are completed as scheduled, then the bridge will stay open starting on Oct. 18 at 5 p.m.
To access the Blue Mountain and Big Flat areas, drivers will need to use US Highway 93 or Kona Ranch Road during closures.
