Two Missoula AMC movie theaters set to reopen

MISSOULA — Missoula's two AMC movie theaters are scheduled to reopen on Thursday.

According to a listing on the AMC website, the AMC Classic 12 in Missoula and the AMC Dine-in at the Southgate Mall are set to reopen on Aug. 27.

AMC has announced 170 additional locations are set to open beginning on Thursday ahead of the release of The New Mutants.

Tickets are only $5 for the first films shown when the theater opens Thursday. All titles will be older films.

Some food and drink -- including regular popcorn, regular Coca-Cola Freestyle drinks and KidsPacks will also be available for $5 through the end of October.

The theaters will also have additional regulations to protect against the spread of COVID-19.

The capacity will be reduced to 40% or less, and all moviegoers will be required to wear masks at all times unless consuming concessions.
