MISSOULA – We have been forming long lines at the Missoula County Elections Office throughout the day as election officials brace for a big Election Day turnout.

Missoula County is seeing unprecedented voter turnout for this mid-term election, with big turn-out numbers — and passionate voters.

Folks have been lining up throughout the day at the Missoula County Fairgrounds to get their votes in.

Dayna Causby with the Election’s Office says their staff is working extremely hard to solve last minute issues for voters and help them get their ballots.

She adds their drive-through ballot drop off has been a big hit today but reminds voters that there is more that one way to turn in that ballot with polls set to close soon.

“People need to know that they can also drop off their ballot, not only at our drive-through ballot drop box but any polling place, it doesn’t have to be their polling place, anyone can take their ballot,” Causby said.

And Causby adds that parking is also a challenge at the fairgrounds this year, because of on-going construction.
