MISSOULA – Several principals will be leaving their posts at the end of the school year.
Missoula County Public Schools has announced leadership changes for Lewis and Clark Elementary School, CS Porter Middle School, Seeley Swan High School and Sentinel High School.
Susan Anderson, current Lewis and Clark principal, will retire on June 30 after a 40-year career in education including 27 years as a teacher at Lewis and Clark and five years as the principal.
CS Porter Middle School principal Lisa Hendrix will retire on June 30, 2019 after a 12-year career in Missoula County Public Schools as a principal at CS Porter Middle School, Meadow Hill Middle School, and Hellgate High School. Hendrix joined the MCPS team after starting her career as an educator in Texas.
Dr. Kat Pecora, current Seeley Swan High School principal, will retire on June 30, 2019 after a nine-year career as the principal of the school. Dr. Pecora joined the MCPS team after working as an Assistant Superintendent in Marysville, Michigan.
Dr. Ted Fuller, current Sentinel High School principal, will leave on June 30, 2019 in order to take a leadership position at the Rabat American School in Rabat, Morocco. Dr. Fuller started his career as a teacher at Hellgate High School before joining the administration at that school for nine years. He has been the principal of Sentinel for the past four years.
MCPS spokeswoman Hatton Littman says that each of these leadership positions will be offered to current MCPS administrators requesting a transfer to a new leadership position.
Pending those requests, the positions will then be posted publicly before the winter break with interviews occurring in January 2019.
