MISSOULA – The University of Montana will hold its first-ever Fall Commencement Ceremony at 9 a.m. on December 15 in the Dennison Theatre.
Montana Attorney General Tim Fox — who has earned three degrees from UM – will be the keynote speaker. Fox has served two terms as attorney general, elected in 2012 and re-elected in 2016.
During the ceremony, graduates will receive their diplomas as their names are read and doctoral candidates will be hooded by their faculty advisers.
School officials say the event is expected to last about two hours and will be live streamed.
Fall Commencement will be a smaller, more intimate and less formal event than the traditional Spring Commencement, according to UM officials.
