MISSOULA – A local high school English teacher was awarded the Exceptional High School Educator Award on Thursday.
Tammi Allison has worked at Sentinel High School for 18 years and also completed her student teaching at Sentinel in 1992.
Allison has served as a Drama and English teacher at Hellgate High School and a teacher in Billings before returning to Sentinel for the rest of her career.
All award selections are made by the Missoula Education Foundation Student board, compromised of high school students from across the district.
Sixty-two Missoula County Public School high school educators were nominated for this year’s award.
