MISSOULA – The Missoula community came together over the weekend to celebrate the life of a man killed in a series of shootings two weeks ago.
Friends remember Shelley Hays, 28, as the glue that bonded his family together, as a man who could make friends with strangers, and a father who loved his five-year-old daughter, Cloey.
He loved fixing and riding fast motorcycles and trucks, working hard as a mechanic, eventually opening up his own auto repair shop.
Hays was a victim in a shooting rampage two weeks ago that left three others injured, including a Montana Highway Patrol trooper.
The celebration of Hays’ life took place on Saturday at Shadow Asphalt in Missoula.
