MISSOULA – The community continues to reach out to the victims of last month’s shooting spree in Missoula County.

One man was killed while three others critically wounded by the suspect including Highway Patrol Trooper Wade Palmer.

Trooper Palmer regained consciousness last week and is now in stable condition despite being shot three times in the head and neck on March 15.

He underwent surgery Thursday in Salt Lake City and fellow officers call his recovery ‘miraculous’.

A recent fundraiser at the Evaro Bar and Casino raised more than $18,000 for Palmer and his family.

Event organizer Edie Love says she appreciates the support from those who showed up to the spaghetti dinner and auction and thanks local businesses who contributed.

The fundraising also continues for Casey and Julie Blanchard who were also seriously hurt that night and for the young daughter of Shelley Hays — who was killed in the shooting.
