MISSOULA – Residents in Missoula’s Orchard Homes neighborhood are preparing for another round of spring flooding as the Clark Fork River is expected to rise once again in the coming days.

The National Weather Service issued a flood warning on Monday for the Clark Fork River in Missoula that extends until further notice.

The areas specifically impacted are the north end of Tower Street and Kehrwald Drive. Residents in the area are already putting sandbags around their property.

The Orchard Homes area saw record flooding take over the streets last Spring.

StormTracker Meteorologist Lewis Dortch notes that the Clark Fork River above Missoula is expected to reach its 7.5 foot flood stage at around noon Tuesday then continue to rise to over 9 feet by the beginning of next week.
