MISSOULA – Missoula’s homeless shelter is reopening its kitchen on Tuesday after a plumbing failure caused it to close last week.

Poverello Center Executive Director Amy Allison Thompson says that after some hard work over the weekend by the Pov’s staff, the kitchen will be able to resume operations on Tuesday.

A second plumbing failure at the Poverello on Fridayforced the shelter to shut down its kitchen and men’s dorm facility.

Contractors are still looking into what caused that failure, while the men’s dorm remains closed.
