MISSOULA — A Missoula power company's generous donation of three tons of turkeys is sure to brighten many Western Montana families this Thanksgiving.

The Missoula Electric Cooperative donated 6,000 pounds of turkeys to the KPAX-Cherry Creek Guerilla Turkey Drive on Thursday afternoon.

Because of their generous donation, the 306 turkeys will be distributed to food banks in Missoula, Ravalli and Mineral counties just in time for Thanksgiving.

There's still time to donate a turkey or money to the Guerilla Turkey Drive. Stop by Friday at the Cherry Creek Media studios on North Avenue between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m.

They'll have contactless delivery available to help maintain social distancing.

We're trying to make sure everyone in western Montana has a turkey for Thanksgiving.
