MISSOULA — The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) is possibly looking for a new home in Missoula.

The USPS is sending out a postcard for the Hellgate Post Office located at 200 East Broadway.

The possibility of losing a lease “due to a potential loss of lease with the sale of the building that could take place in September 2022, the Postal Service is now looking to possibly relocate,” according to a news release.

The USPS is currently in discussions with the new potential owners of the building to stay in the current location. However, if an agreement can’t be reached the current post office will have to move to a new location.

Retail services will continue at the current site until all necessary preparations are completed at the new location.

People interested in commenting on the proposal are asked to send comments within 30 days to United States Postal Service, Attn Missoula MT Hellgate Station Relocation, PO BOX 27497, Greensboro, NC 27498-1103.
