MISSOULA — The Clark Fork River near Missoula continues to rise as predicted.
Tower Street -- beginning at the intersection with Third Street -- is closed to through traffic, but open for local residents.
The Tower Street parking lot and open space areas at the Tower Street Conservation Area are also closed due to flooding.
Sand and sandbag supplies are available at Fort Missoula for residents being impacted by the rising water.
Missoula County Emergency Management officials are warning residents to avoid contact with floodwater as it may contain contaminates.
Flooding can also destabilize trails and trees, making them unsafe for people and pets.
