MISSOULA — The internet has become one of the most precious commodities during the COVID-19 pandemic and because it's so important, the Missoula Public Library is offering mobile hot spots for checkout.
Between the Missoula Public Library's Missoula location and its branches over 100 hot spots are available for checkout.
The hot spots can be checked out for a period of two weeks and cannot be renewed, but people can check one in and check out another, if they are available. It's an extremely valuable tool especially at a time when other internet access services have become unavailable.
"There are a lot of services out there that have been limited quite a bit by the pandemic so having this device you can check out and use for two weeks straight with all the internet you need is really helpful to a lot of people including kids," Missoula Public Library Assistant Brian Doyle commented.
Funding for the hot spots was made possible through the library services and technology act and donations from Verizon and T-Mobile. Click here for more information on the service or contact the Missoula Public Library at (406) 721.2665.
