MISSOULA — The Southgate Mall in Missoula is under construction, making room for new stores coming soon.
Scheels will take over more than 100,000 square feet of the mall. The sporting goods store plans to be open by next year.
According to a Missoula Scheels Facebook page, this location will be the 30th in the country for Scheels.
Southgate Mall general manager Tim Winger says he's very excited for the new store.
"The choices they have, the depth of inventory that they have, they're just a great retailer," Winger said. "On top of it they're very community-minded, and they will be a part of the fabric of Missoula very, very quickly."
The mall is also getting a new sushi and ramen restaurant this month, Lulu Lemon is set to open next month near H&M and Victoria's Secret, and Noodle Express is moving to a new location that should also be open by next month.
