MISSOULA — Residents who use the services of the Missoula Housing Authority may be eligible for some rental assistance if they have been laid off due to COVID -19
Residents living in affordable housing properties should contact their property manager who will work to come up with a delayed payment system to void late fees.
Subsidized housing recipients will also be able to refinance their payments based on how much they were able to work.
"If they have a reduction in their income due to the virus then they can contact our program specialist. We will implement that rent reduction immediately and verify the income afterwards," MHA executive director Lori Davidson said.
Evictions will also be suspended for the time being.
