MISSOULA — The United Way of Missoula has organized a special holiday donation project to help support our local health care workers.
Hope for Health Care Heroes matches every $30 gift card donation with an extra $30 from the United Way.
The campaign serves as a way to support local health care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic -- which has put stress on everyone in the industry.
While local providers are thankful for the fundraiser, United Way of Missoula County CEO Susan Hay Patrick noted the workers are still asking for one gift this Christmas.
"What health care workers told us they want most for the holidays is for Missoulian’s to wear masks practice social distancing and stay home when possible to keep our community safe and our healthcare workers safe.”
The program will match up to $15,000 in donations and is made possible by a $10,000 grant from the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation.
