MISSOULA — The lights were still off at Ogren Park on Thursday night, but the big screen was lit up for the first time this season as Centerfield Cinema kicked off its summer run.
The Missoula Paddleheads hosted their weekly movie night in collaboration with Roxy Theater and for at least 16 weeks this summer, they’ll show a film on the field every Thursday.
Thursday's showing was of the 1984 film, Purple Rain, starring Prince, and they already have a couple of classics on deck with The Goonies next week, and Mean Girls the following.
Summertime in Missoula will look a little different this year, but the Paddleheads and the Roxy are determined to bring the city a little bit of fun.
We will have a breakdown on what this movie series means -- not only for the Paddleheads -- but Missoula, during the Friday 5:30 News with Jill Valley.
