HELENA- A coffee shop on Helena’s west side was damaged on Tuesday when a sedan drove through the front of the building.
The incident happened at about 8 a.m. at Fireside Coffee with owner Dan Fountaine saying the crash sounded like a roar louder than an earthquake.
Fountain said when he peeked around the corner he saw the car’s front end where a window and tables used to be.
He says that, thankfully, there were no customers inside, and initial reports indicate the driver’s injuries are not life-threatening.
What led to the crash and the current condition of the driver is not known at this time. Fountaine says he plans to stay open while the building is repaired.
We will update you when we get more information.
