Threat closes White Sulphur Springs schools

Posted

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS – Classes were canceled in the White Sulphur Springs School District on Monday due to a “social media threat,” according to a Facebook post by the school district.

The post, published in the early morning hours on Monday and confirmed by the Meagher County Sheriff’s Office page, said the closure is a “precaution to ensure the safety of our students and staff.”

There is no word on the nature of the threat or if classes will also be canceled Tuesday.

MTN has reached out to the Meagher County Sheriff’s office for more information and will post updates as they become available.
