DEER LODGE – A staff member at the Montana State Prison has been put on leave while an investigation continues into a possible assault at the Deer Lodge facility.
The Montana Department of Corrections confirmed to MTN News there was a reported assault involving two prison staff members that occurred in the parking lot of the Montana State Prison on Saturday.
One staff member was put on administrative leave while the incident is investigated. No inmates were part of this incident.
The Department of Corrections provided no further details about the incident.
