BILLINGS – As firefighters from Montana travel to California to help fight the devastating wildfires, Red Cross of Montana is also sending volunteers.
There are currently four people deployed to California to help families impacted by the fires to provide mass care, shelter, transportation and mental health services.
The volunteers come from different parts of the state, including Lewistown, Kalispell, Moccasin and Billings.
Red Cross of Montana representatives also say they have a staffer from Billings deployed to Saipan helping with recovery efforts following Typhoon Yutu.
