HARDIN – A man whose car was hit by a train in Hardin on Monday morning has died.
The Montana Highway Patrol reports the 50-year-old Helena man was driving on Woodley Lane and attempting to cross the train tracks.
The man was reportedly on the phone with his wife about 9 a.m. and did not notice a train was coming.
The train hit the driver’s side of the man’s car, and he was thrown from the vehicle.
The man was transported to a hospital in Hardin before he was taken by Life Flight to Billings.
His name has not yet been released.
