BOZEMAN – We are learning more information about a Christmas Eve accident that claimed the lives of two people in southwest Montana.

Authorities say that two people were killed in a three-vehicle collision that happened on Interstate 90 near Manhattan.

The Montana Highway Patrol reports a 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis was traveling on I-90 at around 11 p.. on Monday when slick roads and speed caused the car to slide through the median and crashed head on to a semi, which hit a 2010 Ford Edge.

A 35-year-old woman from Willow Creek and a 41-year-old man were ejected from the Mercury and were pronounced dead on the scene. MHP says the two were not wearing their seatbelts.

No one else who was involved in the crash was injured. The crash is still under investigation.
