BILLINGS – The American Red Cross of Montana opened a shelter in Hardin at the First United Methodist Church at 122 5th St. W. in response to flooding in Big Horn County.
According to a press release from American Red Cross of Montana, ice jams on the Little Big Horn River caused flooding at Crow Agency.
Several households have been evacuated. As of 8 p.m. Saturday, ten people checked into the Hardin shelter.
Red Cross shelters offer people a safe place to stay, meals, information and access to other community resources. No reservations are required, and service animals are welcome.

The Montana Department of Transportation was reporting that there was across the road on I-90 near mile marker 511 in the Crow Agency area as well.
