GREAT FALLS — The search for a missing Great Falls woman has come to an end, as authorities have confirmed that Amy Harding-Permann's body was found on Wednesday evening.
Her body was located in the river behind a house along Big Bend Lane, not very far from where she was last seen at 343 Flood Road on Sunday, Jan. 26.
Cascade County Sheriff Jesse Slaughter said during a news conference on Thursday that Harding's body has been taken to the State Crime Lab in Missoula for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of her death.
There is no word at this point on whether the cause of her death was criminal, and if so, whether any suspects have been formally identified.
We will update you as we get more information.
