A 21-year-old woman died in a motorcycle crash with another vehicle in Bozeman on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, according to the Gallatin County Sheriff's Office and the Montana Highway Patrol (MHP).
Gallatin County Sheriff/Coroner Dan Springer said on social media the crash occurred near the intersection of Stucky Road and Cottonwood Road.
Springer identified the woman driving the motorcycle as 21-year-old Ava Tolliver of Bozeman. Her cause of death was determined to be blunt force injuries, and the manner was ruled accidental.
According to MHP's fatality crash report, a 20-year-old Augusta man was driving a Ford F-150 westbound on Stucky Road around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tolliver was driving eastbound on a Chappy motorcycle.
The report says the truck turned left into a gravel lot and was struck by the motorcycle as the Ford crossed the centerline.
Tolliver was pronounced dead at the scene. She was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to the report.
Alcohol and drugs are not suspected as factors in the crash; MHP says the motorcycle was suspected to be driving over the posted speed limit.
Sheriff Springer extended his office's "deepest condolences to the family and friends of Ava Tolliver."
