LAKESIDE – Skiers in Northwest Montana will be happy to hear that the Blacktail Ski Area is set to open for the season on Saturday.
Ski area operators say recent snowfall and cooler temperatures have come just in time to welcome winter and they will be open for business on December 22.
Blacktail Mountain hopes to have all of its terrain open on Saturday but since they don’t make snow, they are relying on Mother Nature.
The ski area will be running a holiday schedule and will be open daily between December 22 and January 6. They normally operate Wednesday through Sunday.
