MISSOULA – A pair of overdue snowmobilers were found safe late Sunday after spending hours outside in the severe weather conditions in the Lolo Hot Springs area.
Missoula County Search and Rescue members, Missoula County Sheriff’s Office deputies along with US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management personnel responded to the scene after the two became separated from the rest of their party at around 4:30 p.m.
They eventually made their way back to the Lolo Hot Springs unhurt after spending several hours in the snowy and windy conditions.
Search and Rescue reminds those who venture outside during these winter conditions to dress for the expected weather.
