MISSOULA – President Trump rallied in Bozeman for Senate Republican Candidate Matt Rosendale and Congressman Gianforte on Saturday.
Kathleen Williams, Rex Renk, Senator Jon Tester and Gov. Steve Bullock started a series of rallies in Missoula a day later — on Sunday.
The rally included speeches by all candidates, pushing for expanded health care, public lands and accessible voting.
Sen. Tester and Williams were joined by Tiffany Muller who is the president and executive director of End Citizens United. Williams and Sen. Tester repeatedly encouraged people to go the polls, saying every vote counts.
“This is a really important election and truth and integrity are on the ballot. We are just hoping that people understand that and really know that their voice matters and that they can get true representation data and the way to do that is to vote!” Williams said.
“It’s not about anybody else, but us. I think the reason that Matt Rosendale is bringing all these people into the state is — quite frankly, he wants to privatize our public lands, he wants a privatized public education, to kick people of healthcare that have preexisting conditions,” Sen. Tester said.
“He wants more dark money in these races. He can’t campaign on that stuff here in Montana, because Montanans will vote for me. So he’s got to deflect and distract and that’s exactly what he’s doing,” Sen. Tester added.
