Mountain lions reported near Florence school bus stop

FLORENCE – A trio of mountain lions have been spotted near a school bus stop in the Bitterroot Valley.

The Florence Carlton School District sent a message to parents on Tuesday warning that they have received a report of three mountain lions near the Tie Chute bus turn around.

Parents are being advised to take precautions with children and pets.  A photo taken Wednesday morning by the parent of a student showed a mountain lion still in the Tie Chute area.

Back in December, the school sent out a notice that had received a report of a bear in the area of Hidden Valley Road South in Florence.
