STEVENSVILLE — The Stevensville Scarecrow Festival is back featuring more than 50 handmade scarecrows -- a record breaking number.
Businesses and community members are getting ready to show off their scarecrows.
Music, pumpkin carving contests, and horse-drawn wagon rides will also soon line the streets of downtown.
The event kicks off at 4 p.m. Friday on Main Street in Stevensville and lasts until Saturday night.
Event organizer Gretchen Spiess says it started 14 years ago, as a way to bring art to the community.
"People love the creativity about the festival. People pull out the stops. In fact we have, I think 54 scarecrows this year, the most we've ever had."
On Saturday there will also be a brewfest as part of the festival. You can find more information here.
