AGENCY – The family of William Conco Camel, known as Bill to his community, gathered Tuesday at the site where he was shot and killed on Friday in Agency, near Dixon.

The investigation is ongoing and the family is searching for answers, and grieving their loss.

“Bill is gone, my brother is dead. So yeah, you ask, do you want justice, yeah. But before that, I want my brother back, I want him back. Justice will be served,” Bill’s sister Hank Camel said.

“We’ve been out here three times now, and that blood stain is still there, so we brought more rose bush, water to scrub it,” Hank told MTN News.

“But mainly its to help him make his journey. Because when somebody is shot and killed so quickly they’re lost. They’re lost out here,” she added.

“He was a helper, he was kind. He would do anything to help you, to make your life easier. That was my brother Bill,” added Bill’s brother Zachary Camel.

“He cared about things that mattered. He cared about everyone, family, me and my sister,” Bill’s daughter Louise Conko told MTN News.

“For what had happened to him, no man should ever have to go through that. Especially a good caring man. He touched a lot of people. And I am very proud to have spent that time,” friend Tracy Burland said.

“I just want justice done and I want to know what went on that night. And I need to know…I need my son back is what I need,” Bill’s mother Mildred Camel said emotionally.

The Sanders County Sheriff’s Office reports that there are three persons of interest in this shooting but no one has been arrested.
