POLSON – The City of Polson is looking for a new city manager.

The Polson City Commissioners held a scheduled Special Commission Meeting to vote on renewing City Manager Mark Shrives’ employment agreement on October 22.

Following a tie vote on the proposed two-year agreement failed the motion, a second motion was made and passed to instead offer a one-year employment agreement.

However, Shrives decided to not sign the agreement and the city manager position is now vacant.

Anyone with questions or concerns about the process for appointing a new city manager are encouraged to attend City of Polson Commission meetings.

The next City Commission meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 7 at 7:00 p.m. An agenda will be posted on the city’s website. The meetings are held in the Council Chambers at the Polson City Hall.
