MISSOULA – It’s been an epic afternoon, and an epic week for the 24th annual Guerrilla Turkey Drive, co-sponsored by Cherry Creek Media, KPAX-TV and Decker Truck Lines.
In fact, the final tally as of Friday evening is 1,022 turkeys, which might be a new record, and over $4,000 in cash.
We aren’t talking a trickle of turkeys, but an absolute constant stream of donations all day long, as people jump in to help the hungry in Western Central Montana. From individuals to businesses, like Alfredo from El Cazador, donors have been doubling up to make sure people in Missoula, the Bitterroot and Superior will have a bountiful bird for their Thanksgiving feast.
And it’s that kind of giving that really warms your heart. We want to say a big thanks to everyone who has opened their hearts and wallets this week!
