GREAT FALLS – The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reports that a small, 3.9 magnitude earthquake occurred 14 kilometers south of Lincoln at around 10 a.m. on Sunday.
The earthquake resonated from five kilometers below the earth’s crust. No damage has been reported.
These aftershocks are a relatively common occurrence in the months and years following a large quake. In July 2017, a 5.7 magnitude earthquake shook Lincoln.
