CORVALLIS — More problems with COVID-19 cases are forcing Corvallis school leaders to close the Primary School again, shifting students back to remote learning.
In an emergency school board meeting Tuesday night, directors decided to shift younger students back to remote learning, closing all classes on campus.
There's hope that will give the school a chance to catch up with the rising number of cases, and the need for staff to quarantine.
As many as 25% of the school's teaching staff and students were out of class Tuesday.
Corvallis Primary School had just returned to class last week after a two week shutdown, caused by a shortage of "adult supervision", with a number of teachers and other staff forced into quarantine as "close contacts."
The Corvallis Middle School went to remote learning earlier this week, through Thanksgiving, with a return to class on Nov. 30. The Primary School will also be remote until Nov. 30.
