MINERAL COUNTY — Hazmat teams are still on the scene of an overturned semi on an exit ramp off Interstate 90 near Superior.
The Montana Highway Patrol reports a semi truck hauling triple trailers was traveling at about 5-10 miles per hour when it overturned on the east bound ramp of Exit 47.
Due to the materials inside the trailer, hazmat teams were called to the scene.
A later investigation showed the two-gallon containers were carrying herbicides.
As of 10:45 p.m., Missoula’s Regional Hazmat team had almost completed a sweep of the trailer and had found no leaks.
A wrecker was standing by to remove the trailer from the ramp, according to the MHP.
The scene was estimated to be cleared within an hour, however, the off and on ramps for Exit 47 are still closed at this time.
The agencies on scene include Superior, St. Regis, Missoula, and the MHP.
No injuries were reported in the incident and the driver was given a warning.
The MHP reports the trucking company may do an inspection on the truck and whether the load was properly secured.
