POLSON — Lake County Unified Command Center officials are now reporting potential evidence of community spread of COVID-19 in the Mission Valley.
Several positive cases have been identified in the last few days that cannot be directly traced back to a known exposure with a positive case or related to travel, according to health officials.
There are currently 22 active cases of COVID-19 in the Mission Valley. All close contacts have been notified, according to county officials.
Officials are strongly encouraging everyone to practice social distancing, frequent hand washing, mask use when in public and to stay at home with ill.
