POLSON — Lake County voters overwhelming said no to a Criminal Justice-Facilities and Operations Levy on Tuesday that would have renovated the current courthouse and jail.
The Lake County Elections Office reports 4,638 residents said no to the levy, while 2,446 said yes.
Lake County commissioners were asking voters for $2.5 million annually for the next 20 years that would be used to expand the jail as well as the Lake County Courthouse.
