WHITEFISH — On December 12th, after meeting with administrators and staff at each school during the day,
the Whitefish community is invited to a conversation at Whitefish High School in the black box theater from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
Dr. Darlene Schottle, a Ray & Associates regional search associate based in Bigfork will lead the meetings.
“The conversation will be an open format where the community will be asked to give feedback on the strengths of the school district, challenges, characteristics for a new superintendent and the pressing issues to be addressed,” said Schottle.
Schottle has worked for over 34 years in the education field as a teacher, principal, and central office administrator.
She also served as the Superintendent of Schools in Kalispell for eleven years, and is currently the chairperson of the Montana State Board of Education.
Interested community members are also asked to complete an online survey to express the qualities desired in a new Superintendent. The survey will be open through December 15th by this link.
By using the survey data, community input, and working closely with staff, trustees, and administrators, the search firm will develop an ideal profile for the recruiting and screening of applicants for the position.
The Whitefish School District Board of Trustees has selected Ray & Associates, a national executive search firm, to lead the search and would like input from the Whitefish community on the qualities desired in a new superintendent.
