HAMILTON — Last month we told you that a movie theater in Hamilton is updating, and adding a drive- in. Well, that project is almost complete.
The Pharaohplex Cinema says the screen for the drive-in is finished, and the rest will be finished when it opens Monday, June 29.
It is also planning to add a sidewalk and stage area, to hold concerts and other outdoor events later in the future.
Owner Joe McLean says there might be a learning curve, but the community is ready.
"It looks really nice, fits well on the back of the building. I'm pleased with how it turned out. Be really exciting, people keep coming back here and looking at it, they all can't wait," he said.
And a big surprise, on June 27 the drive-in will show a virtual Garth Brooks concert on the big screen. Tickets are by the car-load, and go on sale on Friday.
