The Polson Chamber of Commerce announced Wednesday morning that the annual 4th of July Parade and Fireworks -- which had been postponed until Labor Day -- has been called off.

Chamber officials note in a social media post that due to COVID-19 as well as current wildfire conditions "we have decided to forgo our plans for a Labor Day Parade and Fireworks event." The August SPLASH event has also been canceled and all future Polson Chamber of Commerce events are now on hold.
"While we remain as eager as ever to return to normal operations and reengage with our community, doing what we can to keep our community safe and healthy will always come first," the post continued.
