MISSOULA — After 14 years in their Broadway Street location, Lighthouse Espresso has moved to a new location off Sherwood Drive.
Getting all the proper permitting and licensing for the new building took a little longer than expected so Lighthouse was operating out of their mobile truck for a period of time but staff says the wait was well worth it.
The new building is about three times the size of the old one, but isn’t completely open to the public just yet.
Lighthouse wants to continue operating out of its drive-through window until they can get all the new operational kinks worked out.
"We are kind of waiting to see how things turn out we were so excited to finally get in here that we don’t want to rush it and have to shut down if it's not safe enough or if we can't keep up with sanitizing and bleaching and all that so we really aren’t positive on when we are going to open up," Lighthouse Espresso Manager Stacey Hritsco said.
Lighthouse also said that thanks to their dedicated clientele that they have made it through the pandemic OK to this point and have just started serving food again.
They hope to have their interior open in the next coming weeks.
