HELENA — Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana announced a $100,000 donation to the Montana Community Foundation.

The money will benefit The Rebound Montana Relief Fund. The fund is a partnership between the Montana Television Network, AMB West Philanthropies and Montana Community Foundation.

The fund will grant directly to nonprofit intermediary organizations such as community foundations and united ways as well as rural tribal communities

Blue Cross Blue Shield has already donated more than $1 million to help COVID-19 relief efforts across Montana.

Blue Cross Blue Shield Vice President of External Affairs, John Doran, talked about the importance of supporting non-profits who help their communities through these tough times.

“To make sure that seniors and children knew where their next meal was coming from, to make sure that providers have the equipment that they needed to safely treat patients across the state of Montana,” he said.

“So, we just wanted to be able to invest in a community organization, like the Montana Community Foundation, who are the experts on the front line of dealing with this pandemic," says Doran.

The Rebound Montana Relief Fund sits at more than $246,000, as of May 27.

That includes the generous $100,000 contribution from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana, plus $146,300 from viewers like you along with matching funds from AMB West Philanthropies and MTN.
