BUTTE — It is not easy for small business owners to completely close their stores, but when COVID hit back in March, Pat Campbell, the owner of Beautiful Butte and Beyond, decided to close the storefront.
"We loved our store, but sometimes you just have to move on," Campbell said. "The Virus came in, and we're not young people. We made the decision to close the store in March and then we came back for a little bit and then we just decided it wasn't worth it, so we officially closed in June."
Campbell decided to move her entire store online and has even bigger plans moving forward.
"These many months later where I'm changing some of the [products] and adding new products, I'm considering going statewide and nationwide," Campbell said.
Campbell added that sales locally have been slow, but she's had sales reach across the United States.
"Believe it or not, we've been selling on the east coast and the west coast. I can't figure it that out, but we have," she said.
Campbell is also learning to shoot videos for her YouTube channel; her husband even got an appearance in one of the videos.
"And my husband got real popular from that," Campbell said.
Beautiful Butte and Beyond features products made by people from across the state. You can visit their website here.
